From Prototype to Precision: Scaling a Laser Cooling Assembly for Ophthalmic Surgery

When a medical device OEM needed to take an ophthalmic laser system from working prototype to production-ready, the stakes were higher than a typical build. The internal cooling assembly — built around solenoid-controlled tubing and tightly routed wiring — directly governed the thermal stability surgical performance relied on. There was no room for variation.

By engaging before the design was locked, our team at Impact ES–Grants Pass evaluated assembly sequencing, routing, and workflow early enough to shape the outcome — not just react to it. The result: a prototype that moved into full production with zero redesign, consistent cooling performance across every build, and a manufacturing process documented and validated.

Team Highlights

Steak Day at Impact ES–Vancouver

At Impact ES, hard work and teamwork deserve recognition. Steak Day is one of our Vancouver team's favorite traditions — a celebration marking the goals they've hit and the bar they keep raising together. Moments like this are a good reminder that our success comes down to the people behind it, and we're grateful for the commitment and positive energy our team brings every day.

Aligning on What's Next: Inside Impact ES–Ventura's Leadership Session

This spring, our Ventura leadership team came together for a full-day session focused on aligning around our growth goals, strengthening collaboration across the site, and introducing the next generation of leaders on our team. It was a great reminder that our people — and how well we work together — are our greatest strength, and it's set the tone for how we're moving forward.
