Impact ES has officially moved its Ventura, California operations into a new advanced manufacturing facility. The new home gives our fiber optics and box build teams more space, more capability and more capacity to support customers in aerospace, defense, space, and other high-reliability markets.
The new facility is more than 40% larger than our previous Ventura site. With the move, we’re positioned to grow the Ventura workforce by more than 60% and double our operating shifts. This marks an important new chapter for Ventura, with additional capacity, expanded capabilities, and new integrated manufacturing services for our customers.
Over the past three months, our team transformed the building into a facility designed around how we build. We renovated the space, redesigned our production layout and line configurations, and installed additional equipment that significantly increases our manufacturing capacity.
Relocating a manufacturing operation is no small task, and protecting our customers’ schedules was the top priority. The Ventura team carried out the transition so well that production stopped for only two days. Disruption to customer orders and shipments was minimal while our manufacturing lines were relocated and brought back online.
High-reliability fiber optic manufacturing depends on contamination control. Our previous facility operated a mid-size modular cleanroom built to standards comparable to ISO Class 7, used mainly for final inspection and packaging.
The new facility expands this to a combination of large-scale and mid-size modular cleanrooms, also designed to ISO Class 7–comparable standards. With more controlled space, more of the process can happen inside the cleanroom, including testing, precision assembly, inspection, and final packaging. That means consistent quality and room to scale for advanced applications.
Box build was one of the clearest areas where our previous footprint held us back, limiting us mostly to small-scale assemblies integrated with fiber optic products.
Not anymore. With a significantly larger manufacturing floor, Ventura now supports small, medium, and large-scale box build assemblies, including integrated testing solutions. Customers get more flexibility to bring complete assemblies to one trusted partner.
The Ventura expansion is part of a larger strategy. Impact ES is vertically integrated, with capabilities across multiple facilities. Our sister facility in Grants Pass, Oregon provides dedicated support for high- volume, cost-optimized fiber cable production, while Ventura focuses on precision, cleanroom, and box build work.
Together, our facilities give customers:
Scalability: production can be allocated across sites to match program size and timing
Cost efficiency: high-volume work goes to the facility best equipped for it
Supply chain resilience: multiple sites reduce the risk of single-point disruptions
This milestone happened because of the hard work of the entire Ventura team, who made a complex move look seamless. We’re also grateful to the leadership whose support and investment, from layout decisions to capital equipment, made it possible in record time. Congratulations to everyone who made it happen.
For current and future customers, the new Ventura facility means more capacity, broader capabilities, and the same commitment to quality. Whether you need precision fiber op;c assemblies, contamination-controlled manufacturing, or complete box builds, Impact ES is ready to grow with your program.
