Andy is the founder of Coastal Connections—now Impact ES–Ventura—and a recognized global leader in engineered fiber optic cables and terminations. Under his leadership, Impact ES–Ventura has developed advanced fiber optic solutions that power critical applications worldwide: medical cables used in laser surgery and cancer diagnostics, space cables enabling laser communication and research, and defense cables supporting communications and sensing across land and air platforms.
Before founding Coastal Connections, Andy served as Director of Operations at RIFOCS, a fiber optics company, and gained international experience installing subsea cables in Malaysia. He also developed specialized tools for the U.S. Navy to install small optical cables and arrays in the ocean, advancing naval communications and sensing technologies.
Andy has a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from California Polytechnic State
University ( Cal Poly) and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
