The Impact ES team had the opportunity to attend and exhibit at SPIE Photonics West in San Francisco this month—one of the world’s premier gatherings for the photonics and optics community.

Events like this are invaluable to us. They give us the chance to connect face-to-face with customers and prospective partners, hear firsthand about emerging needs, and have meaningful conversations about real-world applications.
Walking the show floor also allows our team to see what others across the industry are building, where innovation is accelerating, and how technologies are evolving.
Just as important, Photonics West is a powerful source of inspiration. From advances in fiber optics and sensing to breakthroughs in medical, aerospace, defense, and industrial applications, the energy and ingenuity on display reinforce why this field is so exciting—and where it’s heading next.
We left San Francisco energized, informed, and more enthusiastic than ever about supporting our customers with thoughtful engineering, precision manufacturing, and end-to-end solutions in this rapidly advancing space. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with us—we look forward to continuing the conversation.
Warm Regards,
Beto Dantas, CEO & President

Bringing lab-grade spectral analysis into a handheld device takes more than clever optics—it requires tightly integrated electronics, firmware, and manufacturing-ready design.
In this case study, Impact ES–Rhode Island partnered with an innovative technology company to develop a portable, battery-operated color spectrometer for analyzing the visible spectrum of liquids. From custom electronics and embedded firmware to a companion PC application and full CE regulatory support, Impact delivered a complete, end-to-end solution designed for real-world use and scalable manufacturing.
At Impact, our work goes beyond engineering and manufacturing. It’s about showing up for our communities—supporting innovation, engaging future talent, and building meaningful connections where we live and work. This month’s team highlights show how Impact teams are investing their time and expertise to strengthen both our industry and our local communities.

The Impact ES–Rhode Island team was proud to be a sponsored exhibitor at NEMIC Winter Pitch Night 2025 this past December. It was an evening highlighting Rhode Island’s leading HealthTech innovators, startups, and investment opportunities. Hosted by the New England Medical Innovation Center at CIC Providence, the event brought together entrepreneurs, clinicians, engineers, and investors shaping the future of medical technology. It was an energizing opportunity for our team to connect with emerging companies, celebrate innovation in healthcare, and support the growing MedTech ecosystem right here in our community.

The Vancouver Team had the opportunity to participate in the Veterans Career Fair at Clark College, connecting with veterans and transitioning service members who are preparing for the next chapter of their professional careers.
Representing Impact were Lisa Stevenson, HR Manager, and Kelli Rowe, HR Assistant, who spent the day speaking with candidates interested in learning more about Impact and our role as an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider. Conversations focused on our production environment, the technical roles we hire for, and the long-term career paths available across our organization.
We were truly impressed by the professionalism, experience, and enthusiasm of the attendees. Many brought valuable skills developed through military service—discipline, problem-solving, teamwork, and technical aptitude—that align naturally with careers in advanced electronics manufacturing.
Events like this reinforce Impact’s commitment to supporting veterans as they transition into civilian careers. We’re proud to engage with this talented community and look forward to continuing these conversations—and hopefully welcoming some of these outstanding individuals to the Impact team in the future.
